Dr. Anwar Gargash: Youth participation in the 2015 elections is a major tributary to the consolidation of the approach of promoting political participation pursued by the wise leadership

His Excellency Dr. Anwar Muhammad Gargash, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Minister of State for Federal National Council Affairs, Chairman of the National Elections Committee, affirmed that the voice of Emirati youth is the most important in the electoral process, calling on youth to actively participate in the electoral process and work to choose who represents them under the dome of the National Council Union and transmit their voice with all sincerity and honesty.

His Excellency indicated that young people constitute the most representative percentage among the members of the electoral bodies at the state level, as the age group (less than 40 years) constitutes (67%) of the members of the electoral college, which reflects the great confidence that the leadership of the United Arab Emirates places in the youth who It views them as the perfect investment to build the comprehensive renaissance of the UAE and achieve the highest ranks it seeks globally.

This came during a lecture organized by the National Elections Committee for employees of the National Service Program in Abu Dhabi today (August 10, 2015) on the 2015 Federal National Council elections.

His Excellency Dr. Anwar Gargash pointed out that Emirati youth are a pillar of this development in the UAE, and they are the future, and their participation in the elections is seen as a major tributary to consolidate the approach of enhancing political participation pursued by the wise leadership.

His Excellency Dr. Anwar Gargash said that the youth will play an important role in the electoral process, through their election to a member of the Federal National Council, who searches for solutions to issues that concern them and actively contributes to discussing laws that support their aspirations for the future and meet the needs of the country and the citizen.

His Excellency Dr. Anwar Gargash said in his speech to the employees of the National Service Program, "We all hope for you.. You are a role model for the youth of the Emirates to assume responsibility. Your regular service to the nation was worthy of the trust that our wise leadership placed in your hands.. You are the best support for this benevolent nation that embraces all his children and provides them with all the means for a decent life and a secure and reassuring life.”

His Excellency Dr. Anwar Gargash referred to the great role played by the Federal National Council, which had a major role in the renaissance of the UAE. Through the efforts made by its members since its first session until today in searching for issues and finding appropriate solutions to them. Perhaps not the last of which is the great efforts made by the members of the Council in approving the National Service Law, which is one of the most important laws in the UAE.

His Excellency also stressed that the Federal National Council has always been supportive and supportive of all measures that serve the nation, its security and stability, as it believed that fulfilling the requirements of citizens in all fields is an effective way to build a citizen who believes in the causes of his country, defends his sovereignty, works side by side with his brothers and as one plan to uphold The flag of the homeland and underline glory to him.

His Excellency pointed out that the upcoming Federal National Council elections are a practical embodiment of the qualitative development of the electoral process within the program to enhance the culture of political participation through a gradual path that represents the modernization and political development plan pursued by the state in light of the stage of empowerment.

The National Elections Committee seeks to provide all capabilities that enable citizens to actively participate in the electoral process, especially with the approaching date of receiving applications for candidacy to contest the elections, as the committee will receive applications over a period of 5 days from 16-20 August 2015.
