His Excellency said that the 2015 elections enjoyed a large participation of male and female candidates, who numbered 341 candidates. The percentage of women in the electoral bodies is 48%, which confirms the interest of the UAE leadership in the process of empowering women to assume all leadership positions in the country, including the Federal National Council since the first electoral process, in which women won 9 seats.
His Excellency urged the members of the electoral bodies to exercise their electoral right and actively participate in the electoral process, which is a national duty to contribute to the comprehensive development of the UAE and the continuation of the process of empowering the Federal National Council and strengthening its role in society.
