The National Elections Committee announces the list of polling centers' headquarters inside and outside the country for the 2015 Federal National Council elections

The National Elections Committee announced that it has approved polling centers inside and outside the country, in which voting will take place in the 2015 Federal National Council elections. The list of approved polling centers for polling day on October 3, 2015 included 36 centers that the committee will work to equip in a manner that ensures the ease and smoothness of the electoral process throughout the polling period in Election day, as well as 9 polling stations for early voting.

     94 centers at diplomatic missions and embassies abroad.

Members of electoral bodies abroad will be able to cast their votes and participate in the 2015 Federal National Council elections in 94 centers at the headquarters of the country’s diplomatic missions, whether embassies or consulates. Members of electoral bodies can find out the addresses of the country’s diplomatic missions abroad by visiting the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs: www. .mofa.gov.ae and the National Election Commission website www.uaenec.ae

His Excellency Tariq Hilal Lootah, Undersecretary of the Ministry of State for Federal National Council Affairs, member of the National Elections Committee, Chairman of the Election Management Committee, stated that the committee worked to select the electoral centers after studying many important aspects such as the geographical distribution of the electoral bodies, the availability of all service requirements and infrastructure, and matching these Locations for the approved design of the polling centers that was approved by the Centers Equipping Committee, in addition to the availability of suitable parking lots near the polling centers, and other important aspects of providing the appropriate place.

  His Excellency added: "The National Elections Committee has taken it upon itself, since the beginning of work to implement these elections, to ensure that these elections are held in accordance with the highest levels of professionalism, transparency and ease of procedures. We confirm once again that with the increase in the number of polling stations in the 2015 elections and their good distribution in the various regions of the country However, the voter has the freedom to choose any polling center within the country to exercise his electoral right on polling day on October 3, 2015.

11 centers in Abu Dhabi

The number of electoral centers in the Emirate reached eleven, which are as follows: Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Center, Al Jazeera Club sports hall, Yas Mall, Zayed University in Shakhbout city, and in the western region: Madinat Zayed wedding hall, Ghayathi wedding hall, Al Sila wedding hall . In Al Ain: Al Ain Convention Center / Al Khabisi, Al Waqn Wedding Hall, Al Dhaher Wedding Hall, Al Hayer Wedding Hall.

 

6 centers in Dubai

The number of polling centers in the Emirate of Dubai reached six: Dubai World Trade Centre, the Culture and Science Symposium in Al Mamzar, the sports hall at the headquarters of the UAE Football Association in Dubai, Sunset Mall, the Emirates Identity Building in Al Barsha, and the Hatta wedding hall.

 

7 centers in Sharjah

The number of electoral centers in the Emirate of Sharjah reached seven centers distributed as follows: Sharjah Chess Club on Al Dhaid Street near the American University, Mughaidir Suburb Council, Real Estate Registration Department - Al Layyah Suburb next to the Department of Culture and Information, Al Dhaid Youth Club, Maliha Cultural Club, Expo Center In Khor Fakkan, University of Sharjah in Kalba.

Two centers in Ajman and Umm Al Quwain

In the Emirate of Ajman, two electoral centers have been identified: the Social Services Building - Ministry of Social Affairs in the Al Jurf region, and the Sanad Center in the Masfout region. There are also two electoral centers in the Emirate of Umm Al Quwain: Sheikh Khalifa Wedding Hall and the Technical High School in Falaj Al Mualla.

5 centers in Ras Al Khaimah

Five polling centers have been identified in the Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah, and they are as follows: Expo Center, Emirates Identity Authority building behind the General Administration of Ras Al Khaimah Police, Emirates Identity Authority building in Al Rams area, Colleges of Technology (female students), Al Ghail Youth Center.

3 polling stations in Fujairah

In the Emirate of Fujairah, three electoral centers have been identified: the exhibition grounds, the center of the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Community Development in the Masafi region, and the Dibba Sports Club.

9 early voting stations:

In the Emirate of Abu Dhabi: Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Center, the western region in Madinat Zayed Wedding Hall, and in Al Ain City: Al Ain Convention Center - Al Khabisi. In the Emirate of Dubai: Dubai World Trade Centre. And in the Emirate of Sharjah: Sharjah Chess Club on Al Dhaid Street near the American University. In the Emirate of Ajman: Social Services Building - Ministry of Social Affairs in Al Jurf area. In the Emirate of Umm Al Quwain: Sheikh Khalifa Wedding Hall. In the Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah: Higher Colleges of Technology for female students. Emirate of Fujairah: Fairgrounds.

The National Elections Committee also calls on all citizens to verify that their names are included in the lists of electoral bodies so that they can exercise their right to vote on polling day, by visiting the committee’s website www.uaenec.ae or by calling the National Elections Committee call center 600500005.
