Sharjah hosts the third phase of awareness lectures for the electoral bodies of the Federal National Council elections on Sunday

The National Elections Authority continues to organize its lectures across the country
On Sunday, August 16, 2015, the Emirate of Sharjah will host the third phase of a series of awareness and educational lectures organized by the National Elections Committee on the 2015 Federal National Council elections, with the aim of highlighting the importance of the political participation of members of electoral bodies as a tool to contribute to shouldering responsibility and decision-making in the country.
Where three lectures will be organized in the theater of Al Qasimia University in the city of Sharjah by Prof. Dr. Muhammad Butti Al Shamsi, in the Maliha Cultural and Sports Club in the city of Maliha by Dr. Ahmed Ali Al Khuzimi, and in the theater of the Cultural Center in Khorfakkan by Dr. Saeed Muhammad Al Ghafli. This is in addition to organizing a lecture at the Women's Union Association in Sharjah, which will be for women only, on August 30.
The committee had organized two lectures in Dubai on the evening of Thursday, August 13, the first at the Police Officers Club, for His Excellency Tariq Hilal Lootah, Undersecretary of the Ministry of State for Federal National Council Affairs, Chairman of the Election Management Committee. The second lecture was held in the public library theater in Hatta, and was presented by Dr. Ahmed Yousef Al-Mansoori. This is in addition to a lecture hosted by the Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah by Dr. Saeed Mohammed Al Ghafli at the Emirates Society for Women's Social Development.
The lectures focused on the call to enhance the volume of participation in the elections, especially with the start of the nomination phase for the Federal National Council elections 2015, starting from Sunday, August 16. These lectures, organized by the National Elections Committee, represent an essential pillar for raising awareness within the Emirati society, highlighting the most prominent features of political participation in the United Arab Emirates, in addition to introducing members of the electoral bodies to various aspects of the electoral process.
The series of lectures organized by the National Elections Committee will be held during the period from 9 to 19 August 2015 in all emirates of the country.
