His Excellency Dr. Anwar Muhammad Gargash, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Minister of State for Federal National Council Affairs and Chairman of the National Elections Commission, affirmed that the success and distinction of the UAE over the past years is the source of its future vision that relies on youth and optimally employing their energies and capabilities in achieving its development goals and implementing its strategic plans. .
This came during a lecture delivered by His Excellency on Thursday, August 13, 2015, in front of graduates and affiliates of the UAE Government Leaders Program on the Federal National Council elections, in which he praised the efforts of the UAE government and its prominent role in advancing development at all levels, by providing the opportunity for the youth segment to contribute to the march of Progress by enhancing their capabilities and instilling in them confidence that they are the builders of a bright future.
His Excellency Dr. Gargash praised the outstanding success achieved by the UAE Government Leaders Program since its establishment in 2008 under the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, "may God bless him", in the field of training national cadres to be future leaders, and qualifying competencies. Young women to lead government and community work based on the latest management concepts, through workshops, development projects, practical visits, guidance and counseling by specialists.
His Excellency stressed that Emirati youth were and still are a fundamental pillar of the government's strategy, as government agencies are keen to involve them in various aspects of work given the great importance this segment represents in drawing up strategic plans, hence the importance of their participation in electing their representative in the Federal National Council. To convey their voice and express their hopes and aspirations, which leads to development and follow-up to the progress of the UAE in all fields.
His Excellency pointed out that what we aspire to is active participation in the electoral process to enhance the approach of enabling citizens to contribute to shaping their future and the future of their children. And that it is necessary for the electoral bodies, especially the youth, to exercise their electoral right and make the empowerment process a success as it is the best tool to support the program to enhance political participation and move it forward, noting that the participation of the electoral bodies in the upcoming elections is a national responsibility, and its performance will contribute to empowering the Federal National Council and strengthening its role.
He called on Emirati youth to participate positively and effectively in the 2015 Federal National Council elections, pointing out that the National Elections Committee is keen to communicate with young people, listen to their opinions and suggestions, discuss with them, educate them and make them aware of the importance of participation, since the electoral process is a major axis in the comprehensive development and development process.
His Excellency Dr. Anwar Gargash stated that the Federal National Council has always supported all measures that serve the nation, its security and stability, based on its deep belief that fulfilling the requirements of citizens in all health, educational, cultural and economic fields is the effective way to build youth who believe in the causes of their country and are able to take responsibility. entrusted to him to raise the country to the ranks it deserves regionally and globally.
His Excellency stated that the 2015 elections come at a stage in which the UAE is witnessing many achievements at all levels, locally, regionally and globally, to prove its ability to overcome many of the challenges it faced during its journey towards achieving its goals of comprehensive development, and to become today a role model for development, progress and prosperity. Hence, participation in the electoral process is the highest meaning of gratitude to the leadership of the UAE, which places the citizen among its first concerns.
