The embassies and diplomatic missions of the United Arab Emirates continued to receive voters from members of the electoral bodies who are outside the UAE in 94 centers distributed in various countries around the world, to vote for their representatives in the Federal National Council who are able to express their issues and contribute to the continuation of the development process that the UAE is witnessing in all regions. domains.
His Excellency Tariq Hilal Lootah, Undersecretary of the Ministry of State for Federal National Council Affairs and Chairman of the Election Management Committee, indicated that the electoral centers abroad provided all facilities to the voters, enabling them to participate effectively in the elections of the members of the Federal National Council, noting that the second day of the electoral process outside the country witnessed a good turnout. It worked for the second day in a row without any obstacles preventing the continuation of the electoral process in any of the centers.
His Excellency indicated that the good preparation for voting outside the country and the high-level coordination between the National Elections Commission and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, along with the adoption of various awareness programs, led to the smooth running of the electoral process, and in accordance with the international standards adopted by the Commission in managing elections since the beginning of its first session in 2006, praising the response. The large number of members of the electoral bodies who are outside the country benefited from the elections of the Federal National Council.
The process of voting outside the country comes as an experiment that is applied for the first time in the elections of the Federal National Council in the United Arab Emirates, in a step towards granting the right to all citizens who are members of the electoral bodies to participate in voting for whoever they see fit, even if their circumstances prevent them from being inside the country for any reason. .
