Early voting for the Federal National Council elections begins today in nine centers across the Emirates

The activation of the electronic voting system will take place today at 9:30 am at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Center

Today, Monday (September 28, 2015), the early voting process for the 2015 Federal National Council elections will begin in nine centers spread across the country, starting from 10:00 am until 6:00 pm, over three days (28, 29 and 30). This September.

On this occasion, the National Committee announced that the process of activating the electronic voting system will take place today, Monday (September 28, 2015) at 9:30 am at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Center in Abu Dhabi, in the presence of members of the National Elections Committee. It also opens the way for candidates for membership of the Federal National Council. To attend this process as part of its endeavor to apply the highest standards of integrity and transparency to the electoral process.

His Excellency Tariq Hilal Lootah, Undersecretary of the Ministry of State for Federal National Council Affairs and Chairman of the Election Management Committee, affirmed the completion of all preparations in the polling centers, and their full readiness to receive voters wishing to vote early and during the period specified in the 2015 election schedule.

His Excellency indicated that these nine centers, which are distributed in vital areas in all Emirates, have been carefully and carefully chosen to allow all those wishing to vote early to access them and exercise their electoral right, noting his happiness about the availability of trained and qualified coordinators in all centers to assist voters in the voting process.

The electoral centers are distributed in all the emirates of the country, so that the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Center is the approved electoral center for early voting in the city of Abu Dhabi, the Al Ain Convention Center in the Al Khabisi region, the Madinat Zayed wedding hall in the western region, the Dubai World Trade Center in the city of Dubai, and the Sharjah Chess Club in Sharjah city.

As for the electoral center for the Emirate of Ajman, it will be in the social services building in the Al Jurf area. As for Ras Al Khaimah, the electoral center will be in the Higher Colleges of Technology for female students. The Sheikh Khalifa Wedding Hall will be the approved electoral center in the Emirate of Umm Al Quwain. As for the emirate of Fujairah, the electoral center will be in the Ar Exhibitions.

It should be noted that the electronic voting system works by entering the Emirates Identity Card issued by the Emirates Identity Authority, which is considered the approved document that authorizes the holder of the electoral bodies to exercise his right to vote during early voting days and on election day.

The Election Management Committee invites all candidates and voters to visit the National Elections Committee’s website, uaenec.ae, to view the training film that explains the steps of electronic voting, as well as identifying candidate numbers, and to view early voting centers and learn about their locations and all information related to them.

The National Elections Committee also calls on all citizens to verify that their names are included in the lists of electoral bodies so that they can exercise their right to vote and participate in the elections of the Federal National Council, whether in the early voting stage or on the election due day, October 3, 2015, by visiting the Committee’s website www. uaenec.ae, or by calling the National Elections Committee call center 600500005, or by downloading the committee's smart application called "The National Elections Committee", which is available on the Apple Store and Google Play.
