The National Elections Committee mourns the nation's martyrs and decides to postpone the election campaigns until the eighth of September

With hearts that believe in God's will and destiny, the National Elections Committee mourns the constellation of martyrs of the UAE Armed Forces who sacrificed their blood and bravely in defense of their homeland and the causes of their Arab nation, and who were martyred with dignity and pride and without hesitation or compromising the security of their homeland.
His Excellency the Minister, Dr. Anwar Gargash, Chairman of the National Elections Commission, and all members of the Committee, mourn the martyrs of the homeland, and extend their deepest condolences and sympathy to the families of the martyrs and their comrades in the armed forces, asking the Almighty God to shower them with the abundance of His mercy, and to inspire their families with patience and solace, and that our martyred children remain a beacon of glory and pride. For their religion, their homeland, their leadership, their army, and all members of the society of the United Arab Emirates.
Coinciding with the period of mourning announced by His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, may God protect him, the National Elections Committee decided to postpone the launch of the campaign period for the candidates, to resume on the morning of Tuesday, corresponding to September 08, until September 30, 2015.
